Highlights


  • Queen Elizabeth NP: Kazinga Channel Boat Safari, amazing wildlife along the channel and Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura or Kalinzu
  • Bwindi NP: The highlight of a trip to Uganda is the (optional) gorilla tracking. Alternatively Birding Nature Walk in the rainforest
  • Lake Mburo NP: 2 safaris, Zebras , Giraffes, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Ankole cattle with long horns round the park
  • During the included boat trips you may achieve pictures with Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, antelopes, elephants and birds in the same picture.
  • OPTIONAL: Mabamba Swamps: boat trip to this bird paradise near Entebbe  – the best place to spot the Shoebill




Day by Day Program


Day 1 – Arrival Day

arrival in Entebbe, Airport shuttle to your lodge

Overnight: Secrets Guesthouse or similar – Meal Plan BB


Day 2 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, full day drive on a scenic road along tea plantations and nice landscape. Photostops and optional picnic or lunch stop in a restaurant.

You will reach the lodge in time for a sundowner at the campfire.

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Tracking

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura gorge or Kalinzu Forest (included in package price) - visit of the Twin Lakes view point - before dinner walk to the flaminigo lake close to the lodge accompanied by a local guide from the lodge to watch the lesser flamingos and other water birds

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth NP with Kazinga Kazinga Channel Boat Trip and transfer to Bwindi

at 10 am one of the highlight attractions in Uganda, the Kazinga Channel boat cruise, after lunch  at 2 pm you proceed to the home of the gorillas.

Day 5 – The magic encounter with the last Mountain Gorillas or Nature Walk

Your Gorilla tracking day - the gorilla tracking is optional on extra cost for the permit. For those who prefer a nature and bird watching walk in the forest: this can be arranged as well  and is included in package price.

After the track you relax in the lodge.

Day 6 – Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

transfer to Lake Mburo  NP. Around Lake Mburo long horn cattle ,so called Ankole cattle, is raised. The National Park is a small but extraordinary beautiful park. The only one with Zebras on your trip. But as well giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes including Eland antelopes and impalas and much more. It is as well a top birding destination.

Day 7– Game Drive and Transfer to Entebbe - possibility to fly home in the evening

Early morning  game drive.

Transfer to Entebbe via the Equator Memorial and stop at a drum manufacture, the only place in Uganda where the traditional drums are made.

If your flight back starts in the evening we might drop  you at the Airport.

Day 8– Entebbe – optional Shoebill Boat Trip or Back Home

Entebbe: optional Shoebill  boat trip  from  8:00 - 12 / 13:00  (you will be picked up at the lodge, my advise enjoy a late breakfast and take one of Angellas famous wraps as snack for the boattrip. There are only about 25 of these prehistorical looking birds in the Mabamba Swamps. Our team of local guides will guide you in small canoes through the swamps to spot at least one of them - extra cost 50$) – or relax time in Entebbe before the  flight back home.
