Day 1

Arrival in Kigali in the evening - shuttle to the accommodation -

Day 2

Kigali City Tour with Genocid Memorial (open from 9am to 4pm) 

as well as a selection of other optional activities such as 

• Inema Art Center (arts and crafts made by women with café open from 8am to 7pm)

• Kimironko Market (large market worth seeing, busiest times early afternoon)

• or optional Women Cooperative ( cooking class from 9-12 – 25$pp, must be pre-registered) near the hotel

Day 3

Departure 6 o'clock in the morning. Drive to Nyungwe Forest via Nyanca Palace (6 hours) Visit Nyanza Palace included in the package price

Day 4

Nyungwe Forest NP: 

either chimpanzee tracking, takes place in the morning at 4:30 a.m. and must be registered with the booking

or Colobus Monkey Walk in the morning followed by a nature or birding walk in the afternoon. There are rare colobus monkeys in Nungwe. For Chimpanzees you have 2 options Uganda.

Day 5

Drive to Kivu Travel time approx. 5 hours - before that, you can optionally visit a tea plantation or you can take a more leisurely approach to the driving day and make several stops for photos along Lake Kivu.

Day 6

Relax day at Lake Kivu - or these options bookable through the hotel:

• Boat Ride on Lake Kivu: $50 per 1Hour(15Peoples Maximum)

• Kayaking on Lake Kivu: Single Kayak: $15, Double Kayak:$30 in 1Hour 

  • Night Fishing Experience:$100(8Peoples Maximum)

• Morning Fishing Experince:$80(8Peoples Maximum)

• Cycling:$50 Half a Day

• Hiking Congo Nile Trail Full Day:$50(4Peoples Maximum for a Group)

Day 7

Drive to Uganda via the Rwandan Volcanoes –  Options for this day:

• Musanze Cave 55$pp (time required a good hour, ahead of the other options)

• Visit to Dian Fossey Graveyard and the Research Center and Mt. Bisoke cost $75 pp together

Day8

Included in the package price: Golden Monkeys or volcano climb of Mt. Sabyinyo or M. Gahinga, or Batwa Trail Hike. Only you have to decide whether Monkeys or Volcano or Batwa. It is as well possible optionally to track Gorillas here

Overnight: good midrange Lodge in Kisoro Uganda- FB

Day 9

Drive to Buhoma on the north side of Bwindi - optional for a fee of $90 Bwindi can be walked through from south to north guided by a ranger. Relatively easy 3-4 hour hike - 90$

Day10

Gorilla Day  (optional 800$)

Day11

Drive from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha Sector

Overnight: superior midrange Lodge with pool – FB

Day 12

Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura or nature walk in Maramagambo forest (included in the tour price) - In the afternoon 2 or 4 p.m. Kazinga Channel boat tour (included in the tour price)

Day 13

Lion tracking in the morning (included in the tour price) then drive to Kibale via a visit to a vanilla plantation, possibly also school, banana market and crater lakes (also the Top of the World Crater View Point can be reached with a short hike)

Day 14

In the morning Bigodi Wetlands with our local guide (rare species of monkeys, birds, explanation of plants and nature) then lunch with typical Ugandan delicious food and explanation of Ugandan food traditions. In the afternoon either another optional chimpanzee tracking (+$200) or community walk with coffee experience, banana gin (about $15). The latter can possibly also be done after chimpanzee tracking.

Day 15

Full day drive to Murchison Falls NP - a night game drive may be booked today or tomorrow on request and at an additional cost.

Day 16

In the morning game drive, then lunch picnic at the jetty or in the lodge - in the afternoon boat safari on the Nile to the waterfalls

Day 17

Boat safari trip to the Nile Delta at Lake Albert in the early morning included in the package price, then we continue to the Top of the Falls viewpoint with lunch, picnic and from there to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.  At the Sanctuary, a late afternoon Nature Walk or a Night Walk can be booked ($20 pp each)

Day 18

Morning walking safari with rhinos. They are best to visit in the morning, as this is theit active time before hiding in the bushes.

Then transfer to Entebbe - driving time to Entebbe 4-5 hours (on the way the driver organizes delicious Uganda street food - included in the package price)

You may skip the last day and chose a flight which leaves Entebbe late evening.

shoebill boat trip directly from your lodge (included in the package price) - in the evening or at night shuttle to the airport
